in our next home... there will be a colored front door.

not certain of convincing the mr. of pink, but am quite

positive it will be lovely no matter the shade...

... after finding the most perfect shade of lavender roses 

yesterday, i was drawn to the enticing loveliness of this soft purple...

a color that is the most luxurious mix of brown, white, and

i must say gold because of how lovely it is... i call it tobacco.

it's so rich and absolutely comforting.

mixed with white it is entirely sophisticated and  polished,

with black or a dark brown it is moody and mysterious.

all one really needs is a pop of color

to make neutrals really sing...

and once again... dwelling over the most perfect

shade of yellow for fall. either as large as a sofa or as small as a bag,

it is a happy jolt of color.

a  bit more than a little pink

adds drama to almost anything, i do think...

perfect for a shocking shoe

and a bold choice to make an old chair new

pairs well with fur and stripes of black and white

as well as a dash of leopard to delight...

the right shade for a peony bloom

and for you my pink mistress... i am over the moon!

what a lovely combination... so calming with very little contrasts on it's own.

but add one shocking accent color like hot pink or bright orange

and it can become quite beautiful as well...

the power of color that can evoke such feeling...

i adore the combination of camel and black, and if you mix

in a pretty hue of white or ivory it remains crisp and not dark.

 the long crystal chandelier and carved mantel take this room

well over the top of beautiful. love, love, love...
